Hello and we would like to introduce our new Centre Community Worker, Gary Penman.
Gary will be managing our new Warm spaces activity and sessions starting on Monday in Blackrod.
Gary is a local guy growing up in Horwich and attending Rivington and Blackrod High School and has lived in Blackrod for nearly 2 decades and so is very familiar with lots of people in the area and the challenges some are facing. His career was in Local Government and latterly Bolton at Home as a Housing Manager. In his spare time Gary volunteers at Horwich Heritage (Local History Society) and love to keep fit doing Yoga and Pilates.
Feel free to drop in at the Centre to meet Gary and he will welcome you with refreshments, including a hot meal, and deliver activities with you. Or just pop in for a chat and some company for a couple of hours a day. No need to Book.
Monday – 11.30- 1.30
Tuesday – 11.30 – 1.30
Wednesday – 11 – 1.00
Thursday – 12.30 – 3.00
Friday – 12-2.00
These sessions will be provided free of charge to you as they are fully funded by the Blackrod Sports and Community Centre and the Community Organisations Cost of Living Fund.
